WL1A → WL1B Supervisor Learning Path

The WL1A → WL1B Supervisor Development Learning Path is a competency‑based development program designed to prepare Manufacturing Supervisors to transition from WL1A (Foundational Supervisor) to WL1B (Advanced Supervisor). This learning path builds the skills required to move from daily shift execution to broader operational leadership, coaching, problem solving, and continuous improvement ownership.

Supervisors enrolled in this learning path will progress through structured phases focused on foundational execution, skill development, and demonstrated capability. Learning activities combine on‑the‑job application, documented assignments, observations, and leadership validation to ensure supervisors can consistently perform at the WL1B level.

Progression through the learning path is based on demonstrated capability and completion of required evidence, not time alone. Participants are expected to apply learning directly in the workplace by leading safety and quality activities, coaching team members, owning skill development, analyzing performance, and driving problem solving and improvement initiatives.

Completion of the learning path confirms readiness to operate at the WL1B level, with the ability to own area‑level performance, lead cross‑functional problem solving, develop people capability, and support sustained operational results. Final advancement requires manager review and approval in alignment with established performance, behavior, and leadership expectations.
